I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at Esq. The food was exceptional – I had the full chicken Suya, which was by far the best I've ever had. The Jollof rice was outstanding, and the cocktails perfectly complemented an already unforgettable evening. The Dj who I think maybe a co owner was also a great host aswell. I will 1000% be coming back.

DO NOT GO HERE . Worst brunch I’ve EVER experienced. Food was horrid , drinks took hour to come and had 1 poor waiter doing all tables . They call it platter when it’s 2 wings , 2 prawns and 1 peice of rib … Do not go, save yourself the money and time .

Absolutely awful service! We had the evening bag booked wich is a meal and bottomless drinks for 2hrs. As soon as we walked in nobody greeted us the place was packed with no where to sit to the staff decided that it would be ok to make us squeeze onto the end of someone else table. 20 mins go by and were still standing up in the middle of the room with no one telling us whats going on. We paid £50 each and id say we just about got 4 drinks eventually we were seated (because we found a table) after seeing many people walking in and just sitting down. The time coordinating is awful and really ruined our celebration as it was just not the vibe. Dont even waste your money here everyone is incredibly rude and couldnt care less about your experience. The staffs breath also smelt of wray and nephews so there obviously drinking while serving/taking orders. Shame because the music was ok but overall experience was horrendous

Seyi was an amazing waitress for my friend and I. The food was also good!! We did the lobster & steak bottomless brunch and the drinks were flowingggg! Overall it was amazing. The lobster was a bit smaller than expected so I’ll suggest maybe the steak would’ve been a better option. But everything else from the Mac & cheese, garlic spaghetti, jollof rice and plantain was a 10/10 from us. We’ll defo be back soon. SEYI THANKS SO MUCH SWEETHEART!!

I wouldn’t recommend Esq Bar and Grill to ANYONE after the appalling experience we had celebrating my friend’s 22nd birthday. From start to finish, the service was disastrous. We booked a large table for bottomless brunch over a month in advance for 4 pm on Saturday, 18th January. Despite arriving early, we found the venue closed with shutters down. Staff opened at 4 pm, without greeting us or preparing our table. Once seated, we were rushed to order drinks, even though part of our group hadn’t arrived. Our polite request to wait was ignored, and we were told we wouldn’t get drinks after 6 pm. Service was painfully slow, with just one untrained bartender making drinks one at a time. I waited over 30 minutes for my first drink, and this inefficiency continued all evening. Drinks only arrived when we repeatedly chased staff, and some of us had just 2-3 drinks by the end of our booking. Food service was equally dismal. Many dishes arrived cold and extremely late—mine came at 5:50, just 10 minutes before our booking ended. Others didn’t receive food until after 6 pm. To make matters worse, the food seemed reheated, which is unsafe and unacceptable. When I raised these issues with staff, Toyosi and Gislaney were understanding and professional, but the so-called “manager,” who was also the DJ, refused to address our concerns promptly as when the girls tried to get him, he stood there making faces and shaking his head. After waiting an hour for him, he arrived defensive and dismissive, claiming we “didn’t know how to run a business” and were trying to “punish” him over money. Despite explaining the service failures and even pointing out they tried to make us pay before clearing plates and glasses and then brought the birthday cake to a dirty table, he showed no accountability or willingness to resolve the situation and tried to insist that we were going to pay him the full amount. Lol. Despite acknowledging the bartender’s struggle working alone, she interrupted to argue that I was exaggerating, instead of focusing on making drinks that I knew people in the restaurant were waiting for, and to prove our point, I referenced our bill and calculated that each guest only had 2.7 drinks despite paying for bottomless brunch. The manager refused to take accountability, dismissing my concerns and claiming I didn’t understand how businesses work—despite my experience in a venue specialising in bottomless brunch. Lmao The conversation dragged on for over an hour. He patronized us, laughed in our faces, and even mocked me by asking if I’d had “more than two drinks” because I was “talking too much.” After a heated argument, we finally managed to have the bill reduced, but the unprofessionalism and disrespect left a very lasting impression. I will never see this place again and neither should you. P.s, don’t order the double rum chapman as a brunch drink. We witnessed them diluting their jug with just juices every time the contents got low.

So after seeing the hype about this place we decided it would be a good location to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We went for the bottomless brunch at 8pm and on arrival given menus that look liked they hadn’t been clean, they were sticky and dirty. After ordering drinks it wasn’t until 20 mins into our brunch time that the round of drinks came over and also each of our drink came one at a time. So by the time I got my first drink it was 30 mins in. When the food finally came (we all ordered option 1) the rib I was given was not even a rib and the prawns taste like terrys chocolate orange and were inedible. The food was disappointing and so were the cocktails. Service was slow and by an hour into our brunch we were only 2 drinks in and the venue itself wasn’t busy. When we went to pay the menus said £40 and they wanted to charge us £50pp. This is needs correcting as it false advertisement. Overall this place is not up to the hype and exactly very disappointing

I visited ESQ for a friends birthday and we booked a bottomless brunch on Saturday at 8pm - unfortunately, we had a terrible time experience. There was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant, which contributed to the extremely slow service. For a Saturday night, I would expect there to be more waitresses given that this is usually a busy time for restaurants. We were seated at 8pm and didn’t receive our first drink till 9pm - given that we booked a bottomless brunch which is meant to last 2 hours, this is unacceptable. My group and the tables around us were complaining and went up to the bar to try and receive our drinks but we were told to sit down, the drinks are coming and they were busy. The owner/manager kept telling everyone to “wait, it’ll get better” and apologised for the service but there were no improvements. Everyone remaining at the restaurant caused further disruption as instead of guests to leave after their 2 hours, they remain seated which lead to people who had booked for later times being unable to sit or sharing tables. The food was nice however, the prawns had a strange taste. The atmosphere and music was good although this was overshadowed by the service. I wouldn’t visit here for a bottomless brunch unless you are willing to come during the morning/afternoon.

I came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we all had bottomless brunch. The service was slow: we had to flag down the waitresses to order drinks and it took a very long time for them to be made. All of the drinks safe for the pina colada based on and prosecco taste the same. I had the seafood brunch - platter 2, which was stew (tomato based) instead of garlic and lemon advertised on the menu. The jollof rice and plantain left a lot to be desired. I will never visit this establishment again, and honestly I wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy.

Menu looks good but poorly executed with food standards low in taste and quality - good presentation. Vibe is nice and manager intends to please and create good experience but food is not nice unfortunately. 1 singular toilet/cubicle in the entire restaurant also isn’t most ideal.

I wouldn’t recommend, the food was subpar and overpriced for what it was. The customer service was abysmal at best and the music was absurdly loud. The waiting staff were also incredibly unorganised and inattentive!!

They were very unorganised. Our table was booked for 11 people at 8 pm . Some of us arrived at 7.50, and the table was not ready for everyone until 8.30! We were not served until 8.55 pm . The waitresses were very nice and friendly but there were initially only two serving the whole restaurant which was busy. They were trying their best. Whilst I was there, I saw two arguments between management and customers . The menus were also dirty and had food on them. The food was nice , the drinks were ok. I would not go again.

I just spent my birthday celebrating over brunch at Esq and i was really bowled over by how special the host Biyi and the rest of the team made me feel 🥰😍🤩 Esq was giving a bottomless afternoon for the ladies which became a very fun and lively situation with thanks to the DJ. The menu is set and for some this may not feel like allot of food however coupled with the flow of cocktails I thought it was appropriately balanced. Overall a really fun and vibrant afternoon into the early evening that shouldn't be missed !🙃 🤗

This restaurant is an absolute vibe, I originally saw it on tiktok and I was not disappointed! Drinks are amazing you have like 6 to choose from and the food was honest 9/10 ! Music and vibes sensational would definitely recommend!
